Christ followers
On mission to
Reproduce and
Equip disciple makers
The mission of Pequea Baptist Church is to reproduce disciple makers. This is our CORE.
Jesus commands us in Matthew 28:19 to “Make Disciples” and during His life, Jesus showed us how to accomplish this task. Our desire is to center all we do around this one purpose.
While disciple making happens in many different ways, we believe that it happens best in a relational, small-group environment. The purpose of a CORE group is to make disciples by encouraging and challenging one another to unconditionally follow, love, and obey Jesus, and equip others to do the same. This happens as we pray, study the Bible, and live life on mission together.
Living Life on
Mission together
A CORE group is a small group of 8-15 people that meets weekly in someone’s home. Periodically, every two or three weeks, groups will divide into DNA groups for further accountability, men with men and women with women. But CORE groups meet not only for prayer and Bible study but also to be involved in each other’s lives. Groups will help one another reach out to those who do not yet know Jesus, meet one another’s needs, and lovingly encourage and challenge one another to grow spiritually mature and become more like Jesus.
